July Pictures Cousins Visit Again and Others

 Aidan, Caleb, and Hudson visited us with their parents in early July on their way up to Lake

Superior, Green Bay, and the Kendrick family farm in Illinois. Here they all are with grandma

at the Candy Emporium.

 

 Daravia helped organize a water balloon fight with the boys as part of Caleb's birthday party.

They were supposed to be posing for the camera here, but Mason was busy breaking

another balloon on Ray. He does look guilty.

 Grandma Carol got out her old manual typewriter out for Hudson and a toy one for Madelyn.

and grandpa's house is still a favorite of Madelyn's.

 Mason went fishing with grandpa and caught a catfish.

 Mason caught about 30 little white bass, some two

at a time on perch rigs that had two hooks.

Early July Pictures

 Mason and grandpa went fishing in Bear Lake and

caught bluegill, perch, white bass, and this

smallmouth bass. It put up a good fight on the light rod.

Mason caught two little white bass on a single hook!!!

What a fish story! One got hooked and the line wrapped

completely around the other just behind his top fin.

June Kraft Cousins Visit Us

 We made homemade ice cream for cousin Hudson's sixth birthday party. Madelyn loves it!

May Fruitport Old Fashioned Days

Mason helping grandpa build a full size bed for his bedroom. 

The twin bed built last winter on top of the full size bed we built this spring. All the horizontal

pieces are cherry wood and the vertical pieces are walnut.

Madelyn and grandma have a picnic in the back yard.

 We took Mason and Madelyn to the Fruitport Old Fashioned Days carnival. Madelyn

enjoyed riding the ponies!

 Once Madelyn had some carrots the goats were her best friends!

 Madelyn did lots of kiddie rides.

 Madelyn and Riley did a lot of the rides together.

 For her first experience she really liked the rides.
