Sno-motion with Grandpa Armstrong

Our first monster truck live action.
This guys name was Red Solo Truck.

We missed Over Bored crushing cars
He was fun to check out though

Equalizer made one pass over the cars and broke

Something went wrong with the transmission

He did have a General Lee flag so that was cool

Mason checking out Over Bored

Making sure the lugs are all tight

It was more fun to check out the truck than getting his picture taken

Had to get a good look

Looking at the front driveshaft

He liked that the trucks were Red

Another red(neck) truck

"They were loud, but no to loud" according to Mason

Found a snowmobile he liked

This one had a hot seat, Grandpa cooled it down for him

Again it was red, so he had to sit on it

Dad liked this one, Mason found the shutoff switch

Back to the blue one for more pretend riding

Mason, Dad, and Grandpa's first monster truck ride

It was a little loud, kind of rough, we did a donut, and went over a small hill.  He held on tight and gave the driver five when we exited.  He was more excited afterward than during.
A fun day with Grandpa

Found a friend at the Reynolds

Mason found a tree frog

He was proud to catch him

The frog spent lots of time with Mason

Mason trying to catch the frog in the grass
We visited the Reynolds for a fun morning
You can see Bella the Dog wanting Mason's attention in the video
The two of them played fetch, in the yard, and in the pool.

More camping, more dunes

Cooking hot dogs over the fire,
He does his best to imitate what Dad is doing

He is getting quite good at both

Racing Grave Digger at the campsite

Mason flips Digger over often,
He loves to give him a check-up after flipping him upright

Our swimmer ready for action

No matter how foggy those goggles got
he would not swim without them

The kid pool was ice cold

I can do it all by myself, swimming in the big pool

From the forest a creature emerges

The creature is fond of the sand and exhibits a tendency to constantly climb the dunes.

He is sometimes a solitary specimen,
preferring to go off the path for alone time

Here we observed the creature in his natural state

He possesses a strong determination to climb

Using both his large hands and wide feet
he scoots up the steepest dunes

No hill is too steep for this elusive creature

Watching him conquer yet another hill caps off a great Friday

Silver Lake Camping

 Boy enjoying the dunes

He even helped air down the tires,
he was good at putting the caps back on.

Getting ready....

Getting set....

GO!!!

Mom and Mason's race track

Action shot

Put in a jump which caused lots of crashes

Best meal of the vacation,
asparagus wrapped in bacon cooked on the grill.
