January 28th Snowman Kit

 We got a snowman kit for Christmas and finally got some wet snow.

Grandma did most of the work, but Mason put on the hat and nose.

 Putting the pipe in a little low - maybe in the neck??

 Grandma helps with the scarf.

Ta-dah!  All done.  Actually Mason had more fun playing in the mud from the water

coming off the roof drains than playing in the snow.........

January 26th Early 3rd Birthday at Arnies and Home

Grandma brought a "Kooky" pen to Arnie's for Mason to use

while we waited for our order - it was a definate "thumbs up"!

Mason was amused as mommy drew around his hand with a crayon.

 French fries are just a carrier for ketsup.

 Binacular eyes help us see stuff. 

 Chocolate frosting on a chocolate cupcake with chocolate filling.  Wow! He was hyper after that.

 Another cake at home with three special candles.

 I am 3!

 Mason is a pro at ripping the wrapping paper off.

 A cargo truck grandpa made from 11 kinds of wood.

 You load it with cherry freight barrels.

 Another present.

 Grandma got more legos - Mason is pumped.

 The consultant telling daddy how to put the firetruck together.  Also really

good at taking part of the truck apart while daddy works on another part.

That way daddy won't get too far ahead.........

 We roll our tongue now.

 Mason does an imitation of Lightning McQueen from the movie where he winks at his fans

(Mason does it with both eyes) and sticks his tongue out as he does a jump stunt.

Such concentration attaching the rocket for "Red" the firetruck.

January 21st Whoa-Whoa Game with Grandma

Mason gets Grandma to play a game of "Whoa-Whoa" which means

he stands on a foam block and does fancy legs until he is pitched

off in some random direction.

Grandma holds his hands and makes the landings reasonably safe.......

 Sometimes it gets pretty wild.

Sometimes he looks like it was planned.

 Sometimes the boy gets rolled around the foam cylinder.

 Then he wants his belly button tickled.

 Mason loves climbing up on the sofa so he can see through the

opening into the kitchen.

 Looking for action....

Here to help Grandma in the kitchen.

January 16th Grand Rapids Children's Museum

Grandpa and Mason went to the Grand Rapids Children's Museum

on Wednesday. Mason liked the big bubble wands.

 He got so he could make really big bubbles.

 Mason built little shelves where a plastic golf ball could roll.

 Ready to put the ball on one of the top rows and see if it will make it

all the way down.

 Super magnetic play bench.  The magnet was about a foot wide and six feet long.  Looks like

one of his mom's physics demonstrations.........

 Lots of mirrors.  This one was Mason's favorite.  Might be scary

for mom and dad if there really were seven of him.............

 Ta-dah!  A small stage.

 He did, of course, have to drive the yellow VW convertible.

A favorite activity was taking a wheel barrow full of wooden eggs and

putting them in one end of the hen house and having them roll to the

other end.  Over two dozen eggs of different colors from three hens...

January 13th at Kendrick Grandparents Home

 Temperatures in the 30's but Mason played with his McQueen cars

in the driveway puddles until Grandma got cold.

 Serious about blue McQueen running through the water.

 Woops, the engine died in the water.......

 New lawn ornament.......

 Grandma found some hats to play with using the bathroom mirrors.

January 11th at Home and the Mall

Line up those cars!  Grave Digger is going to jump them!

 But wait............. there's more........

 Both Grave Digger and the General Lee jump at the same time!

 There was a real bad wreck on the kitchen table - lego Francesco Bernoulli got the worst of it.

 Lightning McQueen comes to investigate.

 Daddy got another package and I want to open it!

 Or at least run my cars all over it.

Mason still rides the cat.  This time over and over until grandpa said enough.
